I use power bait and maybe worms….
power bait…. get a few colors – one might work great today and not tomorrow. My favorites…corn scent (yellow), yellow meal colored, chartruse, chartruse & white, and orange. Pink is so so….
size 14 or 16 gold or red treble hook, 1/8 oz egg sinker, size 12 barrel swivel and a leader either 2 or 4 lb test ( you’ll have to experiment how long of a leader – I’d start with about 16 inches to 24 inches.
hook >>>>> leader >>> barrel swivel >>> egg sinker
or if that isn’t working….I use night crawlers on a size 10 hook with no sinker – cast it out and let it sink and leave it there.
Lures…..
Mepps Black Fury size 0 or 1 one each with orange/black and yellow/black blades ( 4 total)
Kastmasters 1/12 oz gold / silver / silver w/ blue side

Thanks. Talking about power baits, have you ever heard about any theory saying some colors are more attractive to a particular fish species ?
